چکیده
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) suggests limiting global warming to 1.5 °C compared 2 would avoid dangerous impacts of anthropogenic climate change and ensure a more sustainable society. As the vulnerability is regionally dependent, this study assesses effects 0.5 less extremes in United States. Eight extreme indices are calculated based Coupled Model Intercomparison Project—phase 5 (CMIP5), North American—Coordinated Regional Downscaling Experiments (NA-CORDEX) with without bias correction. We evaluate projected changes temperature precipitation extremes, examine their differences between targets. Under climate, both CMIP5 NA-CORDEX show intensified heat reduced cold across country, frequent heavy large areas North, prolonged dry spells some regions West, South, Midwest, drought events West. Results suggest that intensification by 32–46% (35–42%) for intensity (frequency) country and, 23–41% Southeast. annual mainly contributed winter spring. However, limited frequency precipitation, spell, only evident few regions. Although uncertainties found among models emission scenarios, our results highlight benefits at order reduce risks associated warming.

Scenario dependence of future changes in climate extremes under 1.5 °C and 2 °C global warming
The 2015 Paris Agreement aims to limit global warming below 2 °C and pursue efforts to even limit it to 1.5 °C relative to pre-industrial levels. Decision makers need reliable information on the impacts caused by these warming levels for climate mitigation and adaptation measures. We explore the changes in climate extremes, which are closely tied to economic losses and casualties, under 1.5 °C ...

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
CMIP 5 model simulations of historical and projected climate extremes in the United States are assessed . CMIP 5 CLIMATE MODEL ANALYSES Climate Extremes in the United States
T his is the fourth in a series of BAMS articles on climate extremes in the United States (U.S.). These papers are based on workshops where leading scientists in the field came together to determine how best to assess the state of the science in understanding long-term climate variability and changes in various types of extreme events affecting the United States. The first workshop focused on s...

The effects of climate warming on the thermal habitat of 57 species of fish of the U.S. were estimated using results for a doubling of atmospheric carbon dioxide that were predicted by the Canadian Climate Center general circulation model. متن کاملConsequences of Global Warming of 1.5 °C and 2 °C for Regional Temperature and Precipitation Changes in the Contiguous United States
The differential warming of land and ocean leads to many continental regions in the Northern Hemisphere warming at rates higher than the global mean temperature. Adaptation and conservation efforts will, therefore, benefit from understanding regional consequences of limiting the global mean temperature increase to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, a limit agreed upon at the United Nat...
